ToggleI’ve just returned from my second snowmobiling trip to Charlevoix in as many years. I’m becoming a regular at this destination, starting at Le Petit Manoir du Casino with its advantageous packages. It’s a fabulous place! The landscapes, the proximity to winter activities, the casino, the dining, the atmosphere, everything is likely to meet my expectations. I’m already planning a third tour!
Easy access by snowmobile
From the mountain trail near the hotel, a preview of the atmosphere that awaits me surprises me with a majestic view, from one bank to the other, of the banks of the Saint Lawrence River. The hotel, positioned on the flank of a steep hill, is easily accessible by snowmobile.
Secure Snowmobile Parking
Upon arrival at the hotel, a staff member from the designated snowmobile parking area suggests a spot that suits me. The area accommodates around a hundred spaces right at the main entrance. The place is secured by sixteen surveillance cameras.
Accommodation
Already at the reception, the layout of the place allows me to drop off my luggage without cluttering the lobby while I check in. I am pleasantly surprised by the arrangement of the rooms. The many groups of snowmobilers are located on the same floor, allowing the cheerful groups to gather while waiting to enjoy the amenities of Le Petit Manoir du Casino.
Proximity to Services
The room is modern, clean, spacious, welcoming, and equipped with a balcony, a hot tub, an electric fireplace, and useful amenities. I notice that dining and relaxation services are available on-site at the hotel. Furthermore, the proximity to the Charlevoix Casino, various winter activities such as cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking, is likely to appeal to a diverse clientele.
Hotel Complex
Le Petit Manoir du Casino is a hotel complex that includes two other large pavilions of 77 rooms each, which are close to the main hotel offering 113 rooms. The pavilions have access to all the services of the hotel, in addition to having their own pool.
Relaxation Time
I first indulged in a moment of relaxation at the O’Quartz Spa. The hotel offers its guests free access to this indoor tropical environment. This center is integrated into the natural cliff, powered by a 22-foot waterfall of pure water flowing over quartz. Two different saunas are available. This place is reserved for guests aged 16 and over. A spa pool is also available for everyone on the second floor of the hotel.
Fine Dining at Le Petit Manoir du Casino
One of my favourites is the hotel restaurant. For dinner, Le Petit Manoir du Casino offers a traditional yet diverse menu, along with an affordable wine list. In the morning, I kick-start my day with a buffet-style breakfast included in my package. I notice that the restaurant layout allows for cohabitation between groups and intimate tables. The staff is courteous, efficient, and handles the festive atmosphere well.
Peak Snowmobiling Season
From January until the end of March, it’s the peak winter season. The sales director, Mr. Julian Freset, mentions that 50% of the clientele are snowmobilers. The majority of customers come from all corners of the province. A good portion of American and Ontarian clientele is also interested in the surrounding snowy trails.
Final Recommendation
It was an excellent stay. I highly recommend to snowmobilers and outdoor enthusiasts to visit Le Petit Manoir du Casino Hotel in Charlevoix. This establishment offers many attractions for an entertaining moment for its tourist clientele. The various hotel packages offered throughout the seasons, at reasonable costs, are truly advantageous.
