ToggleToday, January 31st, marked the fifth day of the journey. We reached Lebel-sur-Quévillon smoothly. For a change, let me introduce you to the man behind this grand and wonderful Expedition of Reconciliation of Peoples.
The man behind the First Nations Expedition, Christian Flamand, is the coordinator. He comes from the Atikamekw community of Manawan, but now lives in La Tuque. This unifying man knows how to harness the strengths of all participants to ensure the expedition reaches its destination each day. He provides clear guidance to all participants in the morning and evening.
Leading a convoy of 55 snowmobiles is no small feat. It requires management and organization. Christian is somewhat the pack leader and, as such, positions himself at the rear to ensure no one is left behind. Therefore, if Christian has reached the destination, everyone else has too.
Tomorrow, we head towards Pikogan.
