First Nations Expedition: Day 4 – Mashteuiatsh to Chibougamau

Today, January 30th,

We departed from Mashteuiatsh at 8:30 a.m. heading towards Chibougamau, a 330 km journey. The trail conditions were perfect! This was fortunate because we would have never reached our destination on time otherwise. Finally, the Sûreté du Québec police officers made their appearance for road crossings.

The welcome in Chibougamau was very warm. A spaghetti dinner awaited us at the town hall along with some fantastic desserts. The team is truly united, and we are maintaining a good speed. It was an extremely long day, and we are tired.

Tomorrow, we set off for Lebel-sur-Quévillon; a beautiful 270-kilometre journey.

He loves to admire what Mother Nature has to offer. He is a very sociable team player and loves to talk about snowmobiling. He has already been involved as a volunteer patroller for one of the clubs in his area for a few years. His friends will tell you that he is a real cranky guy who is always ready to go snowmobiling.
