The app is user-friendly, and its developer continuously improves it. You’ll find existing points of interest and can add others to your favourites. You can even invite friends to join the itinerary you’ve prepared. This way, they’ll appear on your map, and you can track them in real time via the app.
At the end of your ride, you’ll have access to your total distance travelled and the duration. You can also easily save your routes and revisit them during future rides.
If you venture into regions with no network coverage, you can preload an area before setting out. This ensures the app continues to work even without a connection. Essentially, BRP GO! functions like a car’s navigation system, providing turn-by-turn directions and showing your current location. You’ll always know how far you are from your destination and how long it will take to get there.
An Area for Improvement
While BRP GO! is a practical tool, it’s not perfect. The one feature I feel is missing is real-time trail conditions and grooming schedules. Currently, you need to rely on another app for this information, but I imagine BRP is working on a solution for the future.
