Nothing makes me feel more alive than a day on a snowmobile. I head out on the trails no matter the temperature. I’m always ready to face anything—cold, wind, and snow. And last winter, it was with the TOBE Celsus insulated monosuit that I took on the elements. I kept all my essentials within easy reach thanks to its practical pockets. Its durable fabric, perfectly insulated where it matters, along with its feminine colours, made every ride enjoyable. I could truly enjoy every moment on the trails. My monosuit is my armour! It moves with me, keeps me warm, and blocks the wind all day long. The moment I put this monosuit on, I knew I was going to love it. I found it light, supple, and well cut; it won me over immediately. It’s the kind of monosuit you forget you’re wearing… until you realize you stayed warm all day long.
Insulation and Protection of the TOBE Celsus Insulated Monosuit
The insulation of this monosuit is perfectly suited for long winter days, with 200 g of Thinsulate in the body and 180 g in the arms. It keeps you warm without ever feeling stifling.
The mesh-lined vents under the arms make it easy to adjust temperature when the action picks up. I would have liked the openings to be positioned slightly more forward, closer to the chest. Unfortunately, when putting it on, I could feel the zippers a bit. But after a few minutes, I completely forgot about them. Leg vents would also be a real plus, especially on warmer days or when riding more aggressively on the trails.
This monosuit is also 100% waterproof, windproof, and breathable. These properties come from the SympaTex membrane (45,000 mm). No matter the conditions, you can trust me—you’ll stay dry and protected.
The reinforced Cordura zones at the knees and on the inside of the legs also ensure impressive durability.
The well-fitted wrist gaiters of the Celsus insulated monosuit are laser cut. They allow moisture to escape and dry quickly. They also protect you from snow.
Crucial Details: Sealed Zippers, 320° Drop Seat, and Celsus Monosuit Finishes
I also appreciate the robust, waterproof YKK Aquaguard zippers. They glide smoothly, and I never felt any air infiltration in my Celsus monosuit; everything is well sealed. And what about the 320° drop seat? What a brilliant detail for bathroom breaks! You only freeze your butt, not your whole body! Not to mention the adjustable, removable hood.
Pockets and Practical Storage of the TOBE Celsus Insulated Monosuit
The monosuit offers plenty of pockets to keep all your essentials within reach. There is an interior pocket for goggles and a phone. I especially appreciated the pocket on the left arm, perfect for keeping my debit card and driver’s licence close at hand.
The interior phone pocket could be slightly larger, as it’s a bit tight in size.
Finally, the adjustable and removable suspenders allow you to fine-tune the fit. Not to forget the D-ring that lets you attach the kill switch.
A Snowmobile Monosuit Designed for Us, Women
I chose the Prune Sorbet colour, and I truly love the look. Having gear that’s both high-performing and feminine is a real pleasure for me. The Celsus insulated monosuit is available in several sizes (2XS to 4XL) and adapts to all body types without compromising mobility. I do find, however, that the fit runs a bit large. I chose a small size and found my monosuit slightly big on me. By comparison, I usually wear a medium in other brands. In fact, my height of nearly 5 ft 2 in (1.57 m) causes a bit of extra fabric in the torso and legs. But that’s always the case with regular sizing. A short version would really be appreciated.
TOBE Celsus Insulated Monosuit: Verdict After a Winter on the Trails
I ride on the trails in all conditions, so I need to be able to adjust my clothing layers depending on the weather. In very cold temperatures, I wear my Hypnose Rafale base layers and add a small insulated jacket if needed. Since I ride without a windshield, wind protection is crucial! In milder weather, I open the vents—sometimes even the ones on the sides of the drop seat—which is very practical. All in all, I loved my TOBE Celsus insulated monosuit. It checks all the boxes for me: light, warm, flexible, and designed to move. A monosuit I’d happily wear all winter long!
