Finally, Jessy.P shares her impressions on her TOBE Outerwear Gear for 2025.
I’ve technically died more than seven times. Not metaphorically. Actually. And while that makes for some wild stories around the campfire, it also makes one thing very clear: I need gear that has my back—literally. This season, I made a big, bold switch: from CKX Gear to TOBE Outerwear. Why? Well, my loyalty has run deep with LEATT since 2020… and when I found out TOBE helmets were made by them in 2025, it all clicked. Full circle. Seamless. Smart. I needed to get my hands on it.
For someone who lives for the thrill of it all, protection isn’t just a priority—it’s part of my survival kit. I ride hard, crash harder, and get back up because I gear up smart. TOBE isn’t just a brand—it’s a tribe. A fierce, fire-hearted community of senders, shredders, and survivors. And now, I’m proud to call myself one of them. Feeling deep that they are also proud to have me as part of the tribe is a bonus!
Here’s what I’m running for 2025, fully UNLEASHED:
TOBE Base Layers 2025: VIDI Shirts, Pants & Fleece Review
These base layers feel like they were stitched by angels. Stretchy, strong, soft as hell—and tough enough to keep up with me. I stay warm, dry, and comfortable from pre-dawn to sunset throttle pulls. And let’s talk about the Glacier Blossom colorway: it’s giving fancy, fierce, and function all in one. I also find that they wash very well with all this winter’s dirty “Puppy prints” all over after a warm welcome from the “Home Tribe” of 9 this past winter! 😛 I also like to carry the Fleece jacket in my backpack as an extra layer in case the base layers aren’t enough oncer the sun goes down.
TOBE Helmet 2025: T9 Carbon Helmet Kit with LEATT Integration
Lightweight. Ergonomic. Tough. The T9 helmet, built with LEATT’s 360 Turbine shock absorption system, fits like a dream alongside my Leatt 6.5 neck brace. If you don’t know me, I don’t saddle up if I am not wearing my Neck Brace and having a helmet that fits seamlessly with it for snowmobiling is a luxury. The whole setup is featherlight yet beast-strong. I even caught a rock to the face last weekend—mid-trail, high-speed. The goggle lens took it like a champ. Barely a dent. No joke: They are bulletproof tested. The fidlock strap attachment is a nice additional touch from TOBE that I found too simple for me to be able to use properly, haha!
The Light Balaclava
It’s warm, it’s super thin, soft to the touch, and dries super fast. I can also comfortably wear my favourite toque from Les Saisons.co over it. I would not wear anything else under my helmet anymore. Well, before I wasn’t wearing anything at all because I never found any other balaclavas to be comfortable, Haha!
Monosuit: EKTA Limited Edition in Steel Rose
If you know me, you know I don’t compromise on performance nor style. The EKTA monosuit gave me both. It’s got that badass feminine flair I crave, with a fit that hugs in the right places but leaves room to throw down without restraints. The 320-degree drop seat? ICONIC. I KNOW. (Again if you are not following on the crazy Jessy.P train; I was the first women to bring this feature to the CKX PEAK Onepiece back in 2017—so you KNOW I’m stoked TOBE indulged as well a couple years ago.)
Pockets in all the right places, Unleashed built-in goggle wipe, smart ventilation, Kevlar® reinforcements, and a Sympatex® 45,000mm membrane that basically laughs in the face of Sweat and wet snow. This suit was made for women who ride like they mean it from dawn to dusk.
Cold Weather Add-On: The Heater Jumpsuit
BC winters don’t play often, but when they do, they bite. The Heater is my plug-and-play solution for insulated warmth. I toss it under my EKTA monosuit and I’m ready to rock as hard as the ice might be—no bulk, no BS. Just warmth when I need it and a fresh breeze when I don’t. It also has the Drop Seat, just in case you were wondering! 😉
Gloves: Capto Light & Capto Undercuff V3
Two words: warmth & grip. I leave the truck in the Undercuff, switch to the Light for high-elevation shred sessions, and swap back into the regular for the cruise home. Dry hands, total grip, full send, can’t lose.
Boots: NECTO Boots
These boots surprised me. No side BOAs to smash on the running boards (hallelujah), and all-day warmth and dry without any drama. Entry-level price, premium feel. I could probably use a little more ankle support than what they offer but at that price point they did the job all season long and I will probably carry them over to 2026. I rarely manage to put more than 1 season in a pair of boots which says a lot on the Necto’s durability.
Final Thoughts
Switching to TOBE was more than a gear change—it was a mindset shift. It’s about choosing gear that lets me ride hard and smart. Without all the sweat. It’s about representing a tribe of riders who are considered in the evolution of the brand and don’t just shred—they’re totally unleashed to be who they truly are. I can appreciate that!
If you’re serious about backcountry performance and tired of gear that quits before you do, maybe it’s time to step into the Tribe and see it for yourself.
