Last winter I installed a LinQ cargo box on my Ski-Doo Renegade 600 R, which was designed for this type of snowmobile, that being 137 inches. At first, I was skeptical because of its small capacity.
Well, think again! During my first multiple-day outing, I was pleasantly surprised with the inner dimension of this luggage carrier. The depth and length ensure that if things are properly stowed inside, you can pack quite a few items and accessories that are essential for your stay.
Sealing
During the season, I travelled in all kinds of conditions; rain, ice, snow, cold, mild weather … to name a few. Every time I arrived at my destination and I took my belongings out of the luggage carrier, I was happy to find that nothing was wet; everything was dry. Gone are the days when you need to put your belongings in garbage or plastic bags to prevent them from getting soaked in your luggage carrier.
Handling
It should be noted that two sets of straps are included when purchasing the cargo box. The straps are permanently attached to the rear frame and the clips on the box. In the space of a few seconds, the cargo box can be removed from the snowmobile chassis, and it is the same for when you set it up to leave.
You no longer have to deal with the straps that come loose after a while and the ice that hinders the removal of the bag when the ride is over.
Design
The box is rigid, compact and made of moulded plastic with an integrated design and is very safe, which prevents you from losing your personal effects. An important point before you purchase this kind of luggage carrier, or anything similar, is to check with a BRP dealer to see what type of LinQ box fits on your snowmobile. As a matter of fact, not all LinQ luggage carriers are adapted to all BRP models. That is why it is essential for you contact a BRP dealer and find this information out before you buy one.
Point to Improve
When manufacturing the LinQ box, the developers should have added a transport belt. In fact, this addition would greatly assist the handling and transport of the box.
I can say, however, at 99% certainty, that I recommend this product without any hesitation. You will not be disappointed with your purchase, which totals approximately $459.99. You won’t regret it!
