What’s better than riding at -18 °C to test a new motocross-style helmet? Crazy, isn’t it? However, this is exactly what I did with the CKX TX696 Helmet and Hawkeye Goggles, distributed by Kimpex.
Well, my face has frozen… at no time at all! Effectively, thanks to the new CKX breath guard, you only have to put your goggles on it and make sure it sits on your balaclava. There it is! This is obviously the best CKX helmet kit I ever had!
Also, I had the chance to be accompanied during this ride by someone who was wearing goggles from another manufacturer. I noticed that his goggles got foggy and frosted much more than mines. Quite an improvement compared with the old CKX goggles.
The helmet offers great comfort, as we have always been used to by CKX. The peripheral vision is excellent and furthermore, as the Hawkeye goggles are frameless, we can take full advantage of it.
These are my first comments on the CKX TX696 Helmet and Hawkeye Goggles and there will be a few more articles about it presented over the season. I am very grateful to Kimpex who provides snowmobile gear to your Web Magazine SledMagazine.com pilots since many years now!
