I would like to share with you my snowmobile day in Shawinigan area. Despite the tough trails due to lack of snow, like in many regions of the Province of Québec, it has been an extraordinary experience because I spent the day comfortably inside a splendid new relay. It was formerly known as the Cabane chez Hill; it is now the Cabane chez Nathalie. Yes ! I am talking about Nathalie Simard and Lévis Guay, her husband.
We have a breathtaking view of the property when we arrive. As soon as you get inside, Lévis welcomes you as if you were a king. I really felt like visiting my own family. The premises have been restored inside and outside very skilfully. Yes, it is a sugar shack, but it is also a place visited by many Québec artists like Boom Desjardins, Patrick Normand, Marjo and of course, Nathalie Simard.
For supper, I enjoyed a delicious spaghetti covered with the sauce cooked by Nathalie herself. I do not want to say anything against my wife’s spaghetti sauce, but…
The place is open since one year and this is the first time that snowmobilers are visiting. This is without doubt a place to add to your list for a future snowmobile ride.
