During the 2020 Snow Shoot, we had the opportunity to ride all the new products from the four major manufacturers. Of course, we all had a favorite for each of the manufacturers. For Yamaha, my favorite snowmobile is without any doubts the all-new Sidewinder STX-GT.
With a beautiful red dress, the Sidewinder STX-GT is stunning.
The very first thing that draws the eye is its catchy look with its flaming red and, of course, its 2-passenger configuration. It comes standard with a heated seat, passenger backrest, overload springs, removable side cases, high windshield, auxiliary tank, etc. The Yamaha Sidewinder STX-GT is fully equipped as standard for very long rides. Its vocation is, of course, touring, and this snowmobile will have a desirable place in this niche.
With such a mechanic and adapted suspensions, you have everything you need for excellent performances with a touring ride.
Like all Sidewinder models, Yamaha has equipped the STX-GT with the legendary 998cc Genesis turbocharged engine that develops no less than 200 horsepower. That’s enough to power this vehicle and two occupants. The power is delivered gradually, and you get all the flexibility you want for an enjoyable riding experience.
With its FOX QS3 front suspension, you can enjoy optimal driving, no matter what the type of snow. Also, the rear suspension combined with a 146-inch track provides excellent comfort and effectively communicate engine power.
