Unable to travel, my family and I decided to escape to the mountains in the Mastigouche Park area in Lanaudière. Snowshoeing and snowmobiling were part of my daily routine and I took the opportunity to tame my newly "wrapped" Grand Touring 2019 900 ACE Turbo from KUTVEK, which now looks like the Northern Lights. I also changed my windshield for a medium size one, which completely changes the touring look.
My playground was located between St-Zénon and St-Alexis des Monts via St-Gabriel de Brandon and the week started with a 30 cm powder snow. Well, I admit that it's not ideal on trails, but we had a lot of fun managing the snow according to its behavior in the mountains. Surprisingly, the two-person riding was very stable without having to adjust the air suspension too often because the bottom of the trail was solid. The next day the resurfacers had done their job and I was able to really take advantage of this great machine. Between the twisty mountain trails and the fields of the Mandeville and St-Didace regions, the snowmobile offered us the comfort of the automatic adjustable suspension, heated seats and handles for the driver and passenger as well as the power of the 900 ACE Turbo with its three "sport, standard and econo" modes. The econo mode was particularly interesting in the mountains and in the forest in order to avoid acceleration jerks for the passenger.
Then, with the same snowmobile, I also did some solo rides. Of course, the ride is completely different than with a passenger, and the 137" Rev4 chassis in sport mode provides surprisingly pleasant sensations in the mountains as well as on linear terrain. The 900 ACE Turbo supports the weight of the snowmobile very well and the multi-position handlebar adjustment allows a more aggressive position when extended towards the front of the snowmobile.
