The new and improve transmission and cooling system of the Polaris Titan

2018 marked the arrival of the Polaris Titan. This crossover snowmobile offers the possibility to go off-road, in trails but also work. To obtain this versatility, Polaris had the good idea to equip the Titan with a brand new and improved transmission and cooling system.

The Alpha transmission has been made with a view for versatility, durability and reliability. It assures a high, low, reverse, neutral drive ranges. Everything you need to adapt your drive to all the conditions you will face throughout the season.

This transmission offers smooth shifting and up to 1200 lb. towing capabilities. When it’s time to play, just switch to high on the transmission to ride on trails or off road at high speed.

Polaris revised entirely the cooling system combine to its 800cc engine to bring many improvements. Even in the most extreme conditions, you obtain reliability, durability and a constant output. For that matter, Polaris chose to test the cooling system in a forest path during summer to prove its efficiency.

Final result: a high-performance snowmobile no matter the conditions. For efficiency, the system includes a fan and the radiator is placed in strategic position, under the front hood. It is the best location for cooling airflow and minimal snow or debris build-up.

Let’s bet that all those improvements will help the Titan to become a leader in the crossover range. Maybe all those technological innovations will be offered in other Polaris models… Who knows?
