A novice in New Brunswick

As a novice snowmobiler, I am excited today to share with you my recent experience on New Brunswick federated trails.

On a wonderful sunshiny day of March, our group of 7 snowmobilers left Rimouski for the Moose Valley Sporting Lodge. We entered the Province of New Brunswick by trails from Biencourt (Québec). To reach our first destination, we took trail #135 to trail #150. Then, we followed the signs to get to the Moose Valley Sporting Lodge. It took me some time to get used to the signs, as they are different from the signs in the Province of Québec.

Located in wilderness, we stopped at the Moose Valley Sporting Lodge for lunch. The food was delicious, the personnel was courteous and what about the warm atmosphere! Definitely, the best I had the chance to visit this season!

To enjoy our day to the most, we went back on our snowmobiles heading for Edmundston on trail #17 and then, we came back in Québec by trail TQ-85 toward Dégelis.

Personally, I have been thrilled by the natural environment, the abundance of snow and the wonderful landscapes of northwestern New Brunswick. We had the chance to ride on good-quality trails, well maintained and freshly groomed that day.

A snowmobile ride to do again with my spouse and friends next year. Maybe I will even plan to stay one night or two, just to travel more in northern New Brunswick.

The season is almost over and I am very proud of myself as I reached 5 000 kilometers. Not so bad for the first year of snowmobiling!

I am already eager to start my next season…
