ToggleThe 4 things you missed if you weren't at the 2018 Saint-Zénon end of season party!
What were you doing on Saturday, March 17? Were you cleaning? Were you preparing your motorcycle or your car while waiting for the snow to melt? Just so you know, if you did that, you'd miss out on a great day with the Cabanon Snowmobile Season Party gang. Fortunately for you, the Chicks And Machines team was there to make sure you didn't miss anything. Put that on your agenda for 2019!
When we got there
It was during lunch time that Max Sheehy (Founder of Chicks And Machines) and I drove to the Cabanon in Saint-Zénon. It is with the collaboration of Motoneiges.ca and Chicks And Machines that we decided to cover the first edition of this party. When we arrived, we were surprised to see how much snow, sun and incredible snowmobilers were out there. We were surprised by the number of people over there! There were a lot more than we had anticipated. It's perfect because the more the merrier!
The atmosphere
For those who don't already know, Saint-Zénon is a great place for snowmobilers. Snowmobilers come from everywhere since several trails lead directly to the Cabanon! We had the chance to talk to many people and to our great surprise, there were even snowmobilers who came from the United States for the event!
You missed a great party! We spent a full day there and we decided to tell you the 4 points that should convince you to come next year for the 2nd edition.
Here are the 4 things to make sure you come next year!
1. An atmosphere of fire!
Seriously, a hallucinating party atmosphere was waiting for us. A really "crazy" crowd leader (even with the leg in a cast). A DJ who made everyone dance. Festive people dancing with a smile on their faces. And for the cold ones, there was a big fire waiting for you if you needed it.
2. Free hot dog and bacon… as much as you wanted!
MIAMMM. For real, when was the last time you had all-you-can-eat bacon?! Well, for those with sweeter teeth, there was a sugar shack with good maple taffy on the snow. A must at this event.
Don't you think that's enough? They had thought of everything since inside the Cabanon, the restaurant and the bar were waiting for you with a varied menu for all tastes… atmosphere included!
3. The organization!
Volunteers and organizers were ready to ensure that everyone had fun. In addition, the organization had several prizes to give all day.
4. Drag races!
There were snowmobiles to try. Of course, the #1 attraction was the drag races on the lake. It was with satisfaction that we could hear the roar of the engines and people giving their maximum on the lake. I even took the opportunity to play "race girl" the moment of a race. Friendly shopping is always fun to watch!
For a first edition, we can say BRAVO to the organization for this success!
Are you finally convinced? So don't miss the second edition next year and bring your gang! Come in this unique part of the country. If you've never visited the area, you now have a reason to! You'll see, it's fun here.
Thanks to Jean from the organization for receiving us with such kindness and bravo to all the volunteers for this beautiful party!
