With winter quickly approaching and the sleds coming together, Team Southside is proud to announce their rider lineup for the 2011-2012 ECS racing season.
In what was literally the 11th hour, the deal was finalized to bring Wisconsin native Dylan Martin to Team Southside on the East Coast. Dylan will be a great asset for the team both on and off the track. With a history of great results on the track, he is known all over as one of the great snocross racers.
"Being on Team Southside, with Jacob as my teammate in Pro I know we will be contenders and I have high expectations coming into the opening round," Martin said.
Accompanying him in Pro from Richmond Minnesota running for his first full season with Team Southside after coming on mid last season and winning both Pro Lite Championships for us is the #2 of Jacob Muller.
"I am really excited to be racing out east again with the team, and look forward to racing in the Pro class," Muller said.
Muller is coming off of a great 2011 season where he was able to sweep the final weekend of the season to lock up both of his championships is looking to build on that in 2012.
In the Pro Lite division, we have Mike Pilotte from Fall River Massachusetts coming back after having a great first season in snocross in 2011 winning sport multiple weekends and finishing in the 4th at the final race of 2011 in the Pro Lite final after getting knocked off in the first corner and coming up from last.
Also returning is Todd Smith who will be running Pro Lite and Pro-Am 35+. Todd is excited to come back for 2012 after finishing 7th in Pro Lites last season and 3rd in Pro-Am.
Lastly, moving into the Pro Lite class this season was the other sport sensation of 2011, with multiple wins and who was always up front before an leg injury took him out of the running will be the #212 of Edward Bandel who looks to make a name for himself this season as he will be contending for the championship.
Returning to the sport division after a pair of 3rd overalls last season and finishing the season off with a win in the last sport final of the season and staying in shape all summer racing on the NEATV series on his Polaris Outlaw. Bruce Gaspardi Jr looks to win the sport championships with his consistency and determination.
In the women’s class, after winning the rising star award last season by beating all the girls on her fan sled and finishing in the top 5 for the season, Taylor Anderson will be now on a level playing field with an IQ 600 and she looks to take full advantage of that with her skill and determination to win. Melanie Acker from Monkton Vermont will also be returning for 2012 in the Pro Womens class after finishing 2nd overall last season, with hopes to win a couple of class championships.
Her brother Wade is also returning this season after a great 2011 season winning 2 championships, and finishing inside the top 3 in two other classes. This will also be his first season on an IQ 600 and is really excited to be off of the fan sleds. Look for him to make his presence known right away.
