Do you want to explore the extraordinary Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region by snowmobile, but don’t own one or know the area? I suggest reaching out to the fantastic and dynamic team at GV Loisirs. This amazing crew will help you discover incredible places with magical landscapes. Thanks to their snowmobile rental service, you’ll leave with unforgettable memories.
Two Strategic Locations in Monts-Valin
GV Loisirs offers two convenient locations to serve you in the snowy Valin Mountains. Visit their service centre in the heart of the Valinouët alpine village or the one at kilometre 31 near the zec Martin-Valin.
Trail and Backcountry Snowmobile Rentals With GV Loisirs
The company offers a wide selection of trail and backcountry snowmobile rentals. You can also take advantage of their guided tours if you’re unfamiliar with the region. You’ll have the chance to ride hundreds of kilometres through this vast territory, where winter is always in full swing.
My guest and I explored the area on a Ski-Doo Expedition LE with a 900 ACE engine. This versatile, utilitarian, and comfortable snowmobile is perfect for riding solo or with a passenger. Its reliable 900 ACE four-stroke engine is fuel-efficient, allowing you to easily cover 250 km on a single tank of gas.
That said, if you prefer backcountry snowmobiling, GV Loisirs also offers Ski-Doo Summit and Backcountry models, as well as Polaris Pro RMK and RMK Khaos.
Snowmobile Rental Rates at GV Loisirs
In terms of pricing, you can expect to pay around CA$400 per day, depending on the model you choose. A security deposit will, of course, be pre-authorized on your credit card before you head out.
The guided tour service costs CA$450 per day for a group of up to five people.
Snowmobile Gear and Clothing Available at GV Loisirs
At GV Loisirs, you’ll find a wide range of clothing and gear to outfit yourself from head to toe if you don’t have your own snowmobiling attire. For a small additional cost, you can get everything you need right on-site.
Gas and Dining Near Snowmobile Trails
At the Destination Monts-Valin convenience store, formerly known as the Dépanneur du Français, you’ll find gas as well as all the usual items you’d expect in a convenience store.
They also sell prepared meals, including their famous aged steaks from Le Draveur. Try them—trust me… YUM! You can also enjoy their snack bar from Wednesday to Sunday. Finally, the store sells all the necessary snowmobile accessories (spark plugs, oil, heated visor wire, belts, etc.).
On the zec side, in the heart of the Valin Mountains, you’ll find gas and must-visit rest stops for meals. I highly recommend Relais La Chapelle, for example, which is well known across Quebec.
Accommodation Near Snowmobile Trails in the Valin Mountains
Accommodation won’t be a problem either. In fact, there are plenty of options! For example, in addition to a well-stocked convenience store, Destination Monts-Valin, mentioned earlier, also rents chalets in the alpine village. They’re even building a hotel right in front of the Valinouët rental centre.
If you prefer to stay near the zec Martin-Valin, the team at Auberge du km 31 can accommodate you in a chalet or the inn itself.
Must-See Attractions in the Valin Mountains
To make your stay even more unforgettable, be sure to ask about the observation peaks located in the highest mountains. This network of peaks was developed along the snowmobile trails to offer breathtaking and extraordinary viewpoints.
GV Loisirs: Guaranteeing an Unforgettable Snowmobiling Experience
In short, do you want an unforgettable experience, like everyone who has used GV Loisirs’ services? Then don’t hesitate to contact them as soon as possible before winter ends!
