Short-term test : Polaris Titan Adventure 2018
I had the chance to try the Polaris Titan Adventure 2018. It's a snowmobile that's designed for deep snow and work, but it’s just as interesting to ride it on a trail on sunny days.
What impressed me right from the start was its load capacity. It is equipped with the Alpha TITAN transmission with different speed ranges, high, low, reverse and neutral. In the low position, it can pull up to 1200 pounds. I was able to test it with the snowmobile scraper (https://www.grattemotoneige.com) and I can tell you that it is something!
It also has a good flotation capacity thanks to its 20 inches by 155 inches track with a height of 1.55 inches and its very wide PRO-Float skis of 9.5 inches. It is able to move backward in almost every situation.
Polaris Titan 2018 Adventure
Although this snowmobile is designed for work, it is really interesting to ride on trails. Its 800cc Cleanfire engine provides great acceleration. In addition, this snowmobile has some trail snowmobile features: high windshield for excellent wind protection, ASYS platform for easy handling and movement and the high-performance Fox shock absorber. It can be easily adjusted without tools to maximize your comfort and driving pleasure. Even though it is equipped with a 20-inch track, we do not feel like we are sitting on a sled made to work.
It is also equipped with the PIDD dial (Polaris Interactive Digital Display) which is the most advanced in the industry, a GPS, Bluetooth and so on. It is as well-equipped as a Touring snowmobile. Its seat is very comfortable for both passenger and driver. For the passenger all the conveniences are there, heated handles, protection on the handles to protect from the wind, a plug for a heated visor and it has a large footrest for the passenger. There is a good space between the passenger and the driver to allow him to move easily during demanding maneuvers.
The control unit is easy to access while driving, it allows among other things to modify the gauge configuration and adjust the high and low intensity of the thumb and the heating handles. I would have appreciated several heat intensities because with only 2 levels it is sometimes difficult to find the ideal temperature. It also has a very large trunk to store all your tools for work, but it also allows you to store everything you need to go on a trip for several days.
I would like to thank SledMagazine.com and Polaris for the short-term trial of the Polaris Titan Adventure 2018.
Have a good season!
