Description of the products

Hello, snowmobilers here are the three CHOKO products described in this article: jacket, pants and boots. More will follow shortly.

Choko Stealth Jacket

Snowmobile Long-term test of Choko 2018 products

It is made for trail snowmobilers and those who practice off-trail. It is manufactured with some of the most efficient materials on the market. The Stealth jacket is available in five colors.

The outer shell is made of waterproof breathable 2×320 Denier textured nylon combined with Teflon protective finish, technically coated for a softer finish. The fabric is soft. The cuffs are adjustable and made with Lycra to block air infiltration. The cap is removable. The waterproof YKK zippers are great because they are air and water resistant while being very strong. The main zip of the coat is protected by an inner storm flap. The manufacturer added zippers under the armpits to allow ventilation during warmer periods or aggressive driving. The coat has numerous inside and outside pockets. Reflective strips provide visibility at night.

The snowmobiler is kept warm thanks to the inside fabric of the jacket which is 180 gr. (6.6 oz.) DuPont® Thermolite Micro insulation and 400 gr. (14 oz.) Micro-tec waffle fleece for a thermal factor of 580 gr. (20.6 oz.). To better fit the snowmobiler, you can adjust the hood, collar, hips, and bottom of the jacket.
I tried it in trails with temperatures from -5°C to -15°C, I didn't have to wear several to stay warm.

Cross-Over Nylon PantSnowmobile Long-term test of Choko 2018 products

The pants are made for trail and off-trail snowmobiler. The fabric used for its design is Suppratech: 400-denier waterproof breathable rugged Oxford nylon with Teflon protective finish, which makes it airproof and waterproof. The manufacturer added 600D Cordura to the knees and buttocks for more friction resistance. The insulating layer is the DuPont® Sorona for an insulation factor of 150 gr (5 oz).

The pants have four zippered pockets and full-length side zippers on each side for easy clothing and boot fitting. This model has a back stretch panel that is high enough to keep you warm. The adjustable suspenders help you to be really comfortable.

I first noticed the lightness of the boots. It's easy to put the boots on thanks to the design and they are quick to adjust with the Velcro strap on the ankle. The top of the boot is adjustable to prevent snow from entering the boots. Because of their light weight and the solid base, these boots can be worn for other winter activities, such as walking or snowshoeing.

I will send you my trail test reports in the next articles.
