Ingles Performance race team swept the podium in Pro Open at Fonda Speedway in New York. Danny Poirier stood on top of the podium with a first place, while teammates Mathieu Morin, and Kevin Wallenstein joined him for second and third. Making this a first ever podium sweep.
Poirier of St Theodore-d’Acton, QC, was out front in the 1st lap and Morin slotted in right behind him. Wallenstein who made the long trek from Cadillac, MI was moving up through the field after getting caught up in the start. He just started picking off riders one at a time and with 2 laps to go he passed Lincoln Lemieux for 3rd.
It was an awesome to see all Ingles Performance / Ski-doo on the podium. There was a record crowd at the famed Fonda Speedway. They definitely got a great show.
In the Pro Lite class, Patenaude brothers Hunter and Leo filled the top two spots on the podium. Hunter pulled the holeshot and never looked back. Leo had to work his way up through the field from a back row start.
Mike and Robin Ingles were beyond happy with the results of the team. Everyone pulled together and got the job done. ECS and Fonda Speedway did an excellent job with the track and facility. It was an excellent venue for Snocross.
"I nearly fell off the bleachers when Kevin moved into third place on Sunday to make that sweep a reality," Robin said. "Mike and I are so pleased with the effort and results from our riders.
