HELP WANTED – Polaris 2020 Snow Check “Help Us” Select
Once again Polaris is allowing SledMagazine.com the opportunity to select our 2020 long term trial snowmobiles through their industry leading spring order factory customization program.
Help us pick the models, engines, colors, tracks and features for 2020.
That’s right, we are inviting SledMagazine.com readers to offer your input on the Polaris snowmobiles that you want to see us riding and reporting on next winter.
A Polaris Snow Check offers all snowmobilers the most customized order opportunity in the industry. And we could not be happier to have been once again recognized and honored with this opportunity.
For trail sleds will it be the new Indy XCR, Switchback Pro S, a new Adventure 137 model or do you want to see how the mighty Titan handles in the trail for a whole season? Let us know, we want your opinion!
For an on and off trail sled, do you want us to request an SKS 146 or Assault 144 model? We want to know!
For the steep and deep do you want us to report on a mighty PRO RMK model or the wild and crazy KHAOS 155? Let us know!
Picking the model is just the beginning of what we want to know.
Next let’s all pick the engine. Once again the 850 Patriot engine is only available through the Snow Check program. Please pick at least one 850 for us! Based on our experiences this year, plus the refinements and tuning that have been done for 2020, we can’t wait to have another go with Patriot power.
Tracks, yes we want your input here as well.
For the trail, the lineup includes Polaris first factory offering of the pre studded 1.25 Ice Ripper XT the 1.35 Cobra or 1.5 Storm 150.
For on / off trail options what do you think about the 1.6 Cobra, 2.0 Series 4 or 2.25 Series 5.2 or 2.25 Peak track options?
On the Titan would you pick the 1.375 Ripsaw or the 1.5 or 1.8 Cobra track?
For mountain sleds 2.4 series 5.1, 2.6 series 6 and 3.0 series 7 are all choices.
If you are beginning to be overwhelmed by the choices, our challenge has just begun and you are beginning to get the idea behind Polaris virtually complete factory customization.
Next up colors! For this one you definitely need to go to Polaris.com and spend some clicking time. Pick a sled that you like, and then check out the incredible choice of panel, tunnel, rail and spindle colors that are available.
Please take a good look at the spectacular Indy 40th Anniversary edition colors. Everything Indy is definitely something to be celebrated in 2020.
One thing that stands out about Polaris colors is their depth and quality. They really reach out and grab you, really pop. Polaris colors look like they came out of a high end body shop versus flat and lifeless like they came out of a box of crayons.
You will not be just looking at boxes of available colors; the sled image will change to show your selection in impressive detail. After you’ve played with the color options for a while and a while longer, keep clicking and let us know what options you would like us to add to our tests.
While you are clicking around for us, build a 2020 Polaris for yourself. If you are not buying a new sled for next year, build one just for fun, so you will be ready when your time is right.
OK, you get the idea of what input we want right? Perfect.
Now just like you, we don’t have forever to make this happen. Snow Check ends April 17th, so we need to get your thoughts in short order.
Email English inputs to [email protected] with Snow Check 2020 in the title
Time is short, so we will not be responding to emails, just keeping track of your opinions.
I’ve brought the following topic up to Polaris people a few times over the past few years without success. Years ago, when we spring ordered a new Polaris, it arrived at our dealer with a gold plate that read “Made exclusively for _________” , maybe it even said “Made exclusively in the USA for ________”. With an industry leading customization program, it would seem like this pride filled gesture should return. Maybe after this article, I’ll hear back. I’ll let you know!
We value and thank you for your input and for your loyalty to SledMagazine.com
Polaris Factory Customization, bring it on!
