Braap Babes X Powder Mountain Snowmobile Club: The Ultimate Whistler Snowmobiling Experience

If you’ve ever dreamed of ripping through deep powder, progressing your backcountry sled skills, and connecting with an incredible community of female riders, then the 2025 Powder Mountain Snowmobile Club X Braap Babes Social Ride in Whistler, BC was exactly that—and more!

This year, 67 women gathered in the legendary Sea to Sky backcountry, pushing limits, learning new skills, and celebrating the unstoppable spirit of women in backcountry snowmobiling.

The Ultimate Whistler Snowmobiling Experience

There’s no better place to host an event like this than Whistler, BC—a world-renowned destination for backcountry snowmobiling, alpine adventure, and deep powder riding. With endless mountain playgrounds, scenic glaciers, and legendary terrain, it’s the perfect spot for riders of all skill levels to explore, progress, and SEND IT.

Avalanche Safety and Backcountry Awareness

We kicked things off with an avalanche transceiver search led by Stephanie Sweezey, ensuring that every rider felt confident in their backcountry safety skills. In the unpredictable terrain of Whistler’s Powder Mountain area, knowing how to use your beacon, shovel, and probe is just as important as knowing how to throttle through deep snow.

Progression and Pushing Limits in the Whistler Alpine

With the warm-up complete, Jessy P. and Britt Mueller led a guided ride through Powder Mountain, helping riders feel comfortable with the terrain. Whether it was navigating deep powder, climbing steep hills, or just getting a feel for backcountry sled control, this ride was designed to boost confidence and elevate skills in a fun, supportive environment.

By midday, we regrouped at “Playland”, a wide-open powder paradise in the backcountry. Lunch was “on the house”, with delicious wraps and sandwiches provided—a welcome treat, especially considering that this entire event was FREE for participants!

Backcountry Snowmobile Skills & Sled Control Clinics

The afternoon was where the real magic happened. Riders broke off into sled control workshops, covering everything from:

  • Carving and countersteering to hold the perfect edge
  • Throttle control for deep powder riding
  • First-time jumps and small airs.

No matter your skill level, there was something for everyone—and the excitement in the air was undeniable.

The Highlight? SEND IT!

Now, let me tell you about one of my most unforgettable moments. Overall, it was building a small jump with Steph and helping riders SEND IT for the first time.

If you’ve never hit a jump on a sled before, that first liftoff triggers a mix of adrenaline, fear, and pure thrill. But when you land it, look back, and see your friends cheering louder than a Supercross crowd—that’s a feeling you’ll never forget.

Whether you were the one sending it, filming it, or screaming in excitement from the sidelines, this moment was hands down one of the biggest highlights of the day.

Braap Babes, Powder Mountain, and the Power of Women in Snowmobiling

First, let me give a huge thank you to Mallory and the Powder Mountain Snowmobile Club for once again teaming up with Angelisa Edwards and Braap Babes to bring this legendary event to life. The support, the stoke, and the all-time good vibes made this an unforgettable experience for every rider who attended.

And, of course, let’s not forget the prizes! Because what’s a Braap Babes snowmobile event without some extra swag and gear giveaways? Everyone walked away with something, whether it was a prize, a new skill, or an unshakeable love for backcountry snowmobiling in Whistler.

See You Next Year for More Whistler Backcountry Snowmobiling!

As the sun set over the rugged peaks of the Coast Mountains, we packed up our sleds knowing that this wasn’t just another ride—it was a defining moment in women’s snowmobiling.

Braap Babes and Powder Mountain Snowmobile Club have once again proven that Whistler is the ultimate playground for female riders looking to level up, explore, and connect.

This was EPIC, and I’ll definitely be back for more progression and, of course, more group hugs next season.
