As expected, snowmobile manufacturer Arctic Cat has completed production for the 2025 snowmobile orders. The Thief River Falls factory, which has also been producing Yamaha snowmobiles for the past few years, has finalized production of the 2025 Yamaha snowmobiles as well. As a result, the assembly line is paused for a few months but is scheduled to resume in the first quarter of 2025.
Nothing Unusual
A production pause for a snowmobile manufacturer is nothing unusual. Furthermore, as is the case with all industry manufacturers, the number of snowmobiles produced for 2025 has been reduced. This reduction is due to the decrease in spring orders and the inventory of new 2023 and 2024 models still available at dealerships. It’s no surprise that the production period was a little shorter this year.
Internal Restructuring
In a statement sent to dealers, the manufacturer announced an internal restructuring. Unfortunately, this involves the layoff of several employees. This situation isn’t isolated within the industry. The current climate is prompting manufacturers and many businesses to review their operations, leading to a streamlining process and, ultimately, job losses.
However, the manufacturer wants to reassure its dealers and Arctic Cat product owners that this will not affect its operations. Sales, customer support, and parts supply teams remain available to dealers and customers.
Good News for 2025 Snowmobiles
The best news is that everyone who ordered a 2025 Arctic Cat will receive their snowmobile in time for the season!
