ToggleThe Pequot Brush Pilots Snowmobile Club will host the 22nd annual Antique Snowmobile Rendezvous Thursday-Sunday, Jan. 21-24, in Pequot Lakes. Admission is free to spectators.
Following is a list of activities:
Thursday, Jan. 21
- 6 p.m.: "Shop Night" at Dave and Barb Guenther's home with a potluck meal. Bring an item to share.
Friday, Jan. 22
- Noon: Antique and vintage (newer sleds are welcome) snowmobile trail ride to Timberjack Smokehouse and beyond.
- Later: Campfire cookout on the trail north of Pequot Lakes; get together at the Pequot Lakes American Legion.
Saturday, Jan, 23
- 9 a.m.: Registration for Vintage and Antique Snowmobile Show at American Legion until noon.
- 10 a.m.-4 p.m.: Vintage and Antique Show at Trailside Park along the Paul Bunyan Trail with awards for oldest operational machine, best original antique, best restored antique, Cutter Class/Peer's Choice Award, Rat Sled (must run), best original/restored vintage machine (1969 or newer) and best costume.
- 1 p.m.: Antique (1966 and older) "performance demonstrations" (no trophies, just bragging rights).
- 1 p.m.: Trail ride.
- 5 p.m.: Social hour at American Legion.
- 6 p.m.: Meal and program.
Sunday, Jan. 24
- 8 a.m.-noon: Omelette breakfast at the American Legion, open to the public. Sons of the American Legion will make build-your-own omelettes.
