Renegade Adrenaline 2025 with Enduro Kit: Performance, Comfort, and Manoeuvrability

An Impressive First Ride on the Trail

My first ride with the 2025 Renegade Adrenaline with Enduro package took place in the stunning Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region. To my great delight, a 20 cm snowfall had just blanketed the ground before I set off. For this ride, I focused more on the suspension’s behaviour and the sled’s handling.

I tested the suspension and the ACS-controlled shock during a 75-kilometre ride, starting from the Presbytère du Mont Lac-Vert inn in eastern Lac-Saint-Jean to Mount Apica, located in the Laurentides Wildlife Reserve.

To my surprise, the trails hadn’t been groomed the night before, which gave me the opportunity to test the suspension over smaller bumps instead of deeper moguls. The base was soft, which allowed me to evaluate the snowmobile’s performance in ideal trail-testing conditions.

So, without further ado, here are my findings. Ready? Hop on the 2025 Renegade Adrenaline with Enduro with me.

Suspension

As expected, the engineers behind the 2025 Ski-Doo Renegade Adrenaline with Enduro spared no expense when it came to suspension.

They equipped it with high-quality shocks and suspension components that have already proven their worth.

Here are the shock components you’ll find:

  • RAS X front suspension
  • Front shock: KYB 36
  • rMotion X rear suspension with ACS (air-controlled shock)
  • Centre shock: KYB 36
  • Rear shock: KYB 36

The ACS shock offers five settings. The first one is softer, while the fifth is firmer, for a sportier ride.

I set the shock to level 1 and the snowmobile handled very well. I quickly noticed how well all the suspension components work together. However, when I hit a steeper bump, the shock took a hard hit.

So, I adjusted it to levels 2 and 3, and that solved the problem. During my 75 km ride, I adjusted the settings several times, going from level 2 to level 5 to fully assess the suspension’s capabilities.

Comfort

My ride took place on rough trails. The suspension responded very well to the trail conditions. I mostly rode on levels 2 and 3.

With these settings, the suspension is more supple, making for a more comfortable ride.

I tried setting the shocks to levels 4 and 5, but when we hit bumps, it was harder to maintain balance on the sled.

This position wasn’t very comfortable.

REV Gen5 Chassis

The REV Gen5 chassis on the 2025 Renegade Adrenaline with Enduro is more aerodynamic than the previous REV Gen4. You feel more in control of the sled, as weight transfer happens instantly in the corners, requiring little effort.

One advantage of this ride, with the Pilot TX ski, was being able to adjust the ski’s blade for better grip on a softer trail.

A deeper blade setting improved cornering control. The skis and chassis are a great match.

Ergonomics

As I mentioned earlier, I felt totally in control of my riding posture. This confirms that from where I sit, I can easily reach all the gauge functions on the left side.

From the cockpit, the 10.25-inch touchscreen, which includes a 4.5-inch digital display zone, makes it easy to view information.

Ski-Doo’s designers thoughtfully placed the buttons to ensure easy access for the rider. It’s important to keep your eyes on the trail rather than on the screen.

Power

The engine under the hood of the 2025 Renegade Adrenaline with Enduro is the 900 ACE Turbo R, producing 180 horsepower. The electronic ITC throttle lets you choose between three ride modes:

  • Sport
  • Normal
  • Eco

I chose the “Normal” mode, and switched to “Eco” for the rougher trails. I gave the “Sport” mode a try for a few minutes… Wow! With all those bumps, I quickly switched back to “Normal”! The “Sport” mode delivers a ton of power, but it’s definitely harder to maintain control on rough trails.

That’s it! The ride is over. I hope you enjoyed joining me for this first outing.

The trail conditions weren’t ideal, so the sled really got put to the test.

In the meantime, I’ll continue my testing, and my full review will be revealed in my final report. I invite you to read that final column.

Special thanks to Équipements Maniwaki for lending me this snowmobile for testing.

Thanks also to the trailer expert for the trailer loan, which allows me to transport my sled across Quebec for my test rides.

Wishing you all a safe and fun-filled riding season!
