Bringing back the excitement of years passed when hundreds of snowmobilers would show up to an event for a great day of riding and camaraderie, power sport media marketers, Digital Video Productions with the support of SNOWMOBILER TV and SNOW GOER CANADA Magazine are proud to announce The BIG DEAL is coming to Greater Sudbury on February 19th, 2011.
Centered around a Poker Fun Run which will entice hundreds of participants with over $25,000 in prizes, including a Grand Prize of $1000 in Cash, the BIG DEAL raises the bar offering riders a full buffet dinner and a live concert featuring the music of recording artist Larry Berrio. Adding to the event beyond the Poker Run, evening banquet and the concert, organizers have a full roster of things to see and do at the site of the event. With the support of power sport dealerships, families and the kids from Big Brothers and Sisters are invited out for a snowmobile and ATV ride as well as to take in the displays from the EMS and military, try out the BOOZE GOGGLE Challenge and enjoy a hot dog in support of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization. The plan is for a snowmobile festival that attracts both touring riders as well as local community people to enjoy the day.
The Sudbury Trail Plan has organized 2 separate routes to accommodate a longer and a shorter ride so participants have options to fit their preferences. Also, each checkpoint will incorporate a game of chance to add some fun to the poker card selection. Rumour has it that if all goes well with insurance that a “Hole In One” and “Closest To The Pin” golf shot competition will also be included as part of the fun on the snow.
Registration is limited so thanks to a partnership with the Sudbury Tourism out of town riders wanting to get booked in early and reserve a spot can do so securely through special “accommodations and event” packages that can be easily booked online.
