The first stop on the Amsoil Championship Snocross Series (ACSS) season opened in Duluth, Minn., which also happened to be Team LaVallee’s new Pro rider, Bobby LePage’s hometown.
“It felt awesome starting out this season with a brand new team in my hometown. A lot of friends and family were able to come to the races and it was a lot of fun putting on a show for them and all the fans.” states LePage.
The racing started on Friday for Team LaVallee with Winter X Games qualifying. Team LaVallee’s, Levi LaVallee was chosen as one of the ten SnoCross athletes to be invited to the Games – so now it was up to LePage to get his spot. After a full day of qualifying, LePage earned his XGames invitation by qualifying 5th for Winter X 15.
Saturday and Sunday Team LaVallee was back to Pro Stock and Pro Open racing. With ample weather conditions and more than enough snow, the technical track was designed to please the fans and the riders. With LaVallee sitting out the first two National races, to put time and preparation for his Red Bull: New Year. No Limits. jump, all eyes were focused on LePge.
With Team LaVallee’s Polaris IQ 600’s running great, LePage had good qualifying rounds for both Pro Stock and Pro Open. He missed the final by 2 positions in Pro Stock, but made his way into the Pro Open Final on Sunday with a notable 12th place finish. With a weekend off, the next stop on the ACSS Tour is to be held Dec. 10-11 at Fargo, North Dakota’s Newman Outdoor Field.
