Toggle“You look fantastic!”, “How could any vehicle not see you and hit you with this suit on!”, “Wow, too cool!!”, “You must be quite willing to wear that!”, “I like it, it makes you look young!”, “It really fits you!”. Seriously, I have heard it all about my suit this winter! Most of the time, people liked what they saw, it was different! In any aspect of our lives, we have our own style at school, at work, on evenings out, on snowboard, etc. So why not on snowmobile? Who said that we have to wear a plain jacket with black pant? Nobody. Exactly my point!
Whether on trail or off trail, my suit has met my expectations. It gave me warmth when I needed it and it was breathable during off-trail riding.
CKX Storm Jacket
Let’s see from top to bottom! I had a crush on the Storm jacket on first sight! I chose Green not because other colors were ugly, but because I cannot wear many jackets at the same time! Most of the time, I wore it along with an inner vest and just a long cotton sweater. I can’t remember my chest getting cold nor my arms.
The CKX Storm jacket presents many outer pockets but only one inner pocket, which is a little annoying. Also, under extreme cold weather, the jacket makes cracking sounds because of its material; it is not broken, it is just noisy. These are the only negative points I noticed during the season. I really liked the zipper : the slider is large enough and works very well! A velcro band covers the zipper to keep the jacket hermetic from its neck to its bottom.
CKX Climb Pant
This really hits! It is not Yellow, it is “Highlighter” Yellow and seriously, it is very nice, mostly with the Black knee and seat area reinforcements. Speaking of Black seat area reinforcement, exactly because it constrasts with the Yellow, I thought it catches the eye! But at least, I was comfortable in my pant and don’t you like others to look at your behind some times?
On the technical aspect, not less than three front pockets! Also, the zippers on sides let you put on your boots before or after you put on your pant. I never got cold in a snowmobile pant because I am always protected by the machine and it is certainly not with the Climb pant that I started to get cold!
To conclude, I wore my CKX suit all season long with a large smile on my face, on snowmobile trails as well as in my day-to-day life. Special thanks to Kimpex for letting me prove that it is a good thing to color our style when snowmobiling. I sincerely wish that more people will dare too, it is so stylish! I will not reveal now my suit for 2015-2016!!
