The company STAR Suspensions is now associated with SledMagazine.com to improve the shocks on the 2011 Yamaha Apex.  After 16 696 kilometers, the suspension needed a full maintenance and STAR Suspensions worked with us to take care of it.  I know Mr Robert Véronneau, the owner, since many years; he has been in the snowmobile, ATV and motorcycle business for a long time.

Last October, I met him at the Motorized Recreational Sport Show held in Québec City.  We agreed that I would send him the shocks for inspection and re-calibration according to the latest specifications.

I received the shocks in December. STAR Suspensions put them back in place and adjusted the suspension. I carefully followed their recommendations.

The steering has also been modified with the addition of SnowTrackers.

Then, I was ready for action on the first ride with the Yamaha Apex. And everything went very well.  Just to make sure the adjustments were adequate, I contacted STAR Suspensions and they confirmed it was alright.

All I need to do now is to give some precision in order to get a problem-free steering and a rear suspension up to my expectations.  I now have a reliable machine for the season.  The final report on this test will be published next fall.

Special thanks to Yamaha for this 2011 Apex and to STAR Suspensions for their competent informations.
