Aggressive SnowTracker for BRP Pilot TS
Hello ! The introduction of the Pilot TS skis on the market this year brought lots of discussions and questions. Even if this ski with adjustable runner is a quite positive innovation, some snowmobilers are not pleased with it, mostly on very hard conditions. Trying to help these dissatisfied snowmobilers, Mr Ghyslain Lachance and his team quickly added the SnowTracker for Pilot TS to their line of products !
Installation…
As for the other ski models, installation is rather simple and very well explained if you follow the instructions. In fact, we just have to remove the adjustable runner to install the SnowTracker.
Pilot TS ski runner to remove
Drilling a hole of 0.5 in./1,3 cm
Inserting the SnowTracker
After removing the bolt that holds the ski, we just take off the adjustable runner by simply getting the retaining rod out of the way. Then, we need a drill and a bit of 0.5 in./1,3 cm, and we drill under the ski as instructed. Through this hole will be inserted the front part of the SnowTracker. Once positioned, we just insert the runner into the holes already drilled and tighten it all. Before putting the ski back, we must rise the adjustment of the Pilot TS to its maximum. The adjustment operation is no more functional with the SnowTracker.
Afterwards, it is very important to check the alignment of skis. The SnowTracker manufacturer recommends perfectly parallel alignment of skis when your snowmobile is resting on concrete after you moved it forward and backward a bit. This is the key to success…
