The East Coast Snocross Series of snowmobile racing wants to come to Lake George this winter.
Lake George businessman Sean Quirk is working with the organization to bring a snow cross racing event to the Gaslight Village festival space in Lake George.
No dates were discussed, and Quirk said he hoped the village of Lake George could dump snow on the property during winter snow clearing for use during the event.
The event visits Plattsburgh in upstate New York and other Northeast venues.
Quirk received approval from Warren County’s Gaslight Village Park Operations and Management, and the full Board of Supervisors will also have to review the request.

Another snowmobile group, Northeast Sno X Series is also planning to come to the Lake George area this winter, potentially as part of the Lake George Winter Carnival.
