Snowmobile and ATV prohibited on the Chambly Canal

Parks Canada would like to remind all snowmobilers and all terrain vehicle users that it is strictly prohibited to drive their vehicles on the multi-purpose path of the Chambly Canal National Historic Site of Canada. According to the Historic Canals Regulations, legal action will be taken against any offenders. The police services have been contacted about the situation and will apply the regulations.

Parks Canada has prohibited the use of snowmobiles and VTT for safety reasons, as numerous walkers, skaters and skiers frequently use the Chambly Canal every day.

Chambly Canal National Historic Site of Canada is part of the Parks Canada system of national parks and national historic sites, which provide outstanding services and exceptional heritage experiences.
