Here is my final report on this new boot that BRP parts, accessories and riding gear division offered this season to provide more comfort to snowmobilers and keep our feet warm under extreme cold temperatures.

Style

At first sight, due to its style, this boot looks like a snowboard boot. Youthful sporty style, it seems to be made of quality and strong materials. With its design, we can say without doubt that BRP has chosen the best products on the market to produce this boot.

First impression

The laces of this boot are incredibly strong, so we should not have to change them too often. Eyelets are of good quality. It was easy to enter my foot inside the boot. Once my foot positioned inside the boot, I was comfortable with the inner pad. Its height is not annoying nor bulky; I can move easily and the lightweight of this boot is an important asset.

Outsole

The outsole sticks to the running board; it is anti-slip and snow does not pile up underneath, good clearance. This way, I will not have to remove snow continuously from underneath my boot as before.

Protection

The boot offers good impact protection for the whole foot.

Insulation

The 600 g PrimaLoft insulation is now proven because I tested it a -35 °C and I did not feel any cold. And when I took off my boots at the end of the day, my feet were dry since the insulation is designed to keep water and moisture away. This is what makes the difference between cold feet and warm feet.

A surprise for environment and recycling : the insulation of this boot is made with recycled bottles. A great eco gesture from BRP.

Waterproof – anecdote

To begin, the manufacturer mentions that the boot is waterproof. During a ride under mild temperature, I came by a stream that crossed over the trail. As I was going to cross it, my boot was half-submerged. I took the chance that if water would go through  the boot, I would end my ride rather uncomfortably. To my greater surprise, no water has infiltrated.

General comments

Personally, I think that this boot fulfills all snowmobilers’ criteria like nice style, lightweight, warm, not bulky, resistant, unisex. For this reason, for 239,99 $ you can buy this boot that you will surely keep for many years and that will meet your expectations.
