Before, it could be difficult and it could take a long time to reach the engine and the various components of the powerpack in the BRP models built on the REV platform. For 2017, this problem is solved.
Very frankly, it takes just a few seconds to expose all the front end of your snowmobile and to reach all parts to be serviced. For example, you can access the chain case by opening the lateral panel. With a simple turn of a screwdriver, you can adjust the tension of the chain. Oil changes of the chain case are also made easier due to the drain button that is so easy to reach.
Another improvement is the weight of the mechanical components that can make the difference during some maneuvers. For example, on Summit models, the chain case is made of magnesium, which reduces the weight by 1,5 kg/3,3 lb versus the chain case of the MXZ and Renegade models.
We had time to examine these new technologies and truly, we can see that BRP engineers want us to enjoy snowmobiling as much as possible in mountain, on trail or with a hybrid machine. No matter the category you will choose, you will enjoy snowmobiling. After all, that was the primary goal of the first sleds : to play with winter.
