2025 Ski-Doo Renegade Adrenaline with Enduro: My Method for Testing and Evaluating on Trails

Every December, I eagerly head to my dealership to pick up my new snowmobile. This year, Équipements Maniwaki lent me a 2025 Renegade Adrenaline with the Enduro package. At first glance, it appears to be the same sled as last year’s model, except for its vibrant red and black colours and the addition of an integrated GPS in the dashboard. The Ski-Doo design team made an excellent choice with these striking colours, sure to catch the eye of every snowmobile enthusiast on the trails.

A Two-Step Evaluation Method

I understand that the 2025 Renegade Adrenaline has the same manufacturing specifications as last year’s model. To avoid repeating last year’s review, I have developed a two-step evaluation method. Here’s my plan:

Step 1: Planning My Tests

I start by identifying the key aspects I want to evaluate during my ride, and my list is as follows:

  • REV Gen5 chassis
  • Mechanics
    • 900 ACE Turbo R engine
    • Reverse Drive
    • Braking system
    • Skis
    • Suspension and shock absorbers
    • Track
  • Functions and Accessories
    • Headlights
    • Handlebar
    • Windshield
  • Riding Experience
    • Comfort
    • Handling
    • Stability

In principle, I will evaluate all these points on trails under various conditions throughout the season. This will allow me to provide you with a review that meets your expectations regarding trail snowmobiles.

2025 Renegade Adrenaline With Enduro: A Hybrid Snowmobile

Indeed, I must consider off-trail capabilities during my tests. The 2025 Renegade Adrenaline with Enduro, which measures 137 inches in length, is considered a hybrid snowmobile due to its unique design. However, it is not designed for deep off-trail riding. You can venture off the trails with it, but there are some limitations.

Step 2: Evaluating the 2025 Renegade Adrenaline with Enduro on Trails

Now that I’ve planned everything, I feel ready to move on to practical testing. Generally, I ride several kilometres of trails to explore different terrains:

  • Winding and narrow trails
  • Wide and straight trails
  • Bumpy trails at the end of the day
  • Off-trail conditions
  • Hard or soft trails
  • Freshly groomed snow trails (6 to 7 inches thick)
  • Icy trails (especially in curves)
  • Mountain trails
  • Steep slopes
  • Rugged terrain

That said, unpredictable weather conditions in recent years have continued to challenge both snowmobilers and their equipment. I have already experienced three temperature changes in a single day. For example, I started with a wind chill of -30 °C (-22 °F), then saw it rise to -2 °C (28.4 °F) around noon, followed by snowfall in the afternoon!

Given this reality, a snowmobiler must quickly adapt to changing conditions with a snowmobile that can adjust to trail conditions. We will soon see if the 2025 Renegade Adrenaline with Enduro lives up to the challenge!

Expectations for This Season: Performance of the 2025 Renegade Adrenaline with Enduro

Each season, I plan to ride about 7,000 km with my snowmobile. This allows me to fully explore its capabilities and form a comprehensive opinion about its performance. However, last year I only covered 2,900 km. While I still managed to evaluate the snowmobile well, I didn’t get the chance to push it to its limits. You can read my season review here.

This season, I will document my rides, noting the region, trail conditions, and weather. I plan to pay close attention to how my snowmobile behaves, so I will seek out more demanding trails to push it to rigorous tests.

I expect the 2025 Renegade Adrenaline with Enduro to excel at stability, handling, comfort, and power. To put these features to the test, my first ride of the season will take place in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region. This area offers a great variety of trails, making it a perfect location for testing.

So, I invite you to follow my upcoming review of my first on-trail test—stay tuned!

Final Thoughts

This season, I have the pleasure of celebrating my 50th year as a passionate snowmobiler. Over the past two decades, I have had the privilege of riding many different snowmobile brands and models. With 25 years of experience as a test rider, I am confident that I can provide you with an accurate and detailed review of my snowmobile tests.

Each reviewer has their own testing method. But in the end, the goal remains the same—to give you a thorough and honest evaluation. In my opinion, the main difference between snowmobile reviews lies in the personal experience. This season, I invite you to join me on my snowmobile journey and experience it alongside me.

Finally, I sincerely thank Équipements Maniwaki for lending me the 2025 Renegade Adrenaline with the Enduro package for the season.

Have a great season, everyone! Stay safe on the trails!
