Conditions are not yet perfect to launch the snowmobile season in Quebec, but it`s just a matter of time. Will you be ready? The Quebec federation of snowmobile clubs (FCMQ) invites its members to purchase their trail permits at the special Early Bird price of $260 (compared to the in-season rate of $320) in effect until midnight December 9th 2011.
Quebec`s vast network of trails (33,000 km) is internationally reputed for its interconnectedness and accessibility. It is prized not only by Quebec snowmobilers, but also by tourists from Canada, the US and Europe, who travel here to discover our immense and breathtaking wilderness. Snowmobiling is an essential engine of the tourism industry in the province and is single-handedly responsible for maintaining the vitality of remote communities in the winter season, in addition to contributing to the well-being of hundreds of communities and businesses throughout the province. FCMQ-affiliated clubs are solely responsible for managing trail permits, along with planning, development and maintenance of the trail system. They also see to the installation of proper signage and ensure the safety of trail users. None of this would be possible without the critical support provided to clubs through the purchase of permits.
