Pilotte sweeps Pro finals in Oswego for East Coast Snocross series
Presented by Woody's Traction and FXR Kirchmeyer, Kierstead split Pro lite finals
Massachusetts native Mike Pilotte continued his 2019 hot streak over the weekend, sweeping the Pro finals as East Coast Snocross (ECS) completed Rounds 8 and 9 at the Oswego County Fairgrounds.
Rising stars Jesse Kirchmeyer (Team Southside/Polaris, Saturday) and Tucker Kierstead (D&D Racing/Arctic Cat, Sunday) split the Pro Lite finals in two of the most competitive races seen thus far in 2019. Kirchmeyer also finished second to Pilotte in Saturday's Pro final ahead of Adam Levi.
Kirchmeyer followed Pilotte across the stripe again in Sunday's 14-lap Pro Open battle, while Vermont native and ECS veteran Bradley Tatro finished third. In Saturday's grueling 15-lap Pro Lite final, Dalton Jacquier (D&D Racing/Arctic Cat) finished second by just under five seconds, while Adam Ashline (Ingles Performance/Ski-doo) filled out the podium.
Fans in attendance at Oswego witnessed two incredible races from the Pro Lite athletes. On Saturday, an impressive eight of 12 sleds finished on the lead lap, while 10 of 12 completed all 15 laps on Sunday. Kierstead's margin of victory over Ashline was a mere 1.5 seconds, with Levi close, as well.
Theresa Max (SBT Racing/Ski-doo) notched her eighth straight Pro Women win on Saturday, keeping her undefeated streak alive for 2019. Ashley Baird (Team Southside/Polaris) finished a strong second, while Brooke Ouderkirk (Ingles Performance/Ski-doo) put in another solid effort for third.
In Sport action at Oswego, Kolton Gillilan set a blistering pace on Saturday to earn the Super Stock 600 victory. Weekly rival Gavin Fleury crossed the stripe in second, while Travis Emery filled out the podium in third. Fleury found redemption with a win on Sunday over Gillilan and Emery.
Jake Boutwell continued his 2019 hot streak in Junior classes over the weekend. The red-hot rider from Keene, N.H., claimed the Jr. 14-15 and Jr. 16-17 finals each day, putting him one step closer to the season points titles. Steven Max (SBT Racing/Ski-doo) won a pair of Jr. Sport 12-15 finals.
Other final round winners over the weekend in Sandy Creek include Nate Wilkinson (Plus 30 Pro Am Saturday); Tristan Huey (Plus 30 Pro Am Sunday); and Jacob Lux (Plus 25/35 Sat./Sunday). For Wilkinson, who had chased Huey on many occasions, that first Final victory was extra special.

The East Coast Snocross series, presented by Woody's Traction and FXR, is an ISR-affiliated sanctioning body for snowmobile racing in the northeastern United States.
