“I’m happy to see a number of local projects receiving state funding,” George said.  “These projects not only improve the quality of life for Clearfield County residents, but also create jobs in our area.”

On the list of newest grantees:

• $13,000 to Clearfield County for the rehabilitation of Curwensville Lake Park in Pike Township.  The project includes installation of play equipment with safety surfacing, ADA access, landscaping and the project sign.

• $136,000 to the Hilltop Howlers Snowmobile Club for the purchase of a snowmobile trail groomer for maintenance of more than 200 miles of trails in Moshannon State Forest.
