Over $100 000 invested in Safety by La Capitale General Insurance, Ministere des Transports & BRP

Good news for snowmobile and quad clubs

To support clubs and promote safe snowmobiling and quad-biking, La Capitale General Insurance is pleased to announce that it will launch an awareness campaign aimed at snowmobilers, quad bikers and drivers on The Weather Network in mid-December 2008 with the theme Be smart, choose safety. This initiative will continue until spring 2009 with 10 commercials airing each day. It was made possible thanks to the partnership of La Capitale General Insurance, the Quebec Ministère des Transports and BRP (Bombardier Recreational Products Inc.).

The goal of the campaign is to raise awareness about safety among snowmobile and quad enthusiasts and encourage them to make it a priority. It also targets drivers, reminding them to be vigilant and respect traffic rules at trail crossings.

These commercials will be broadcast at the same time that trail conditions are presented, a new investment announced by La Capitale on November 5 (Read here) as part of its involvement in the sport of snowmobiling. This is a way for La Capitale to provide support to the snowmobiling and quad-biking clubs that are committed to the development of these sports and thus ensure that these activities are practised in a safe and responsible way

To make this campaign possible, La Capitale General Insurance had the valuable cooperation of other organizations and companies that also recognize the importance of safety: the Quebec Snowmobilers Association (AdmdQ), the Casino de Charlevoix, DataDot Technology Canada, Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu, the Ministère du Tourisme du Québec, the Sûreté du Québec, The Weather Network, ATR associées du Québec (associated regional tourism associations of Quebec), the Canadian Council of Snowmobile Organizations, the web magazines Motoneiges.ca and SledMagazine.com, Motoneige.info, the Communauté des motoneigistes internautes du Québec, the International Snowmobile Manufacturers Association, Quadnet, Choko Design and the magazine Le Monde du VTT.
