Rockford’s Bill Manson, the director of the Michigan Snowmobile Association, was recently inducted into the International Snowmobile Hall of Fame.
The hall is hosted by the World Snowmobile Headquarters in Eagle River, Wis.
Manson, who was chairman of the state’s former snowmobile advisory committee for many years, was inducted for his work in trail development.
“Bill has been the voice and source of guidance for snowmobiling in Michigan since 1982. He has been instrumental in the creation and administration of numerous programs and trail developments,” WSH officials said in their press announcement.
The organization inducts individuals every year in the following categories: inventors, designers and manufacturers, explorers and adventurers, trail and program developers, volunteers and club organizers, publishers and journalists.
