On Snow Magazine to Become a Benefit of ISOC Membership

Known as the promoters and sanctioning body for the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series, ISOC and OSM formed the arrangement in order to gain increased exposure and awareness within the snowmobile community.

The International Series of Champions took over the reigns of the national snocross tour a little over two years ago, and to date they have helped breathe new life, new sponsors and more exposure into what has become the focal point of competitive snowmobiling. Through improved television production and reach, an interactive web site that includes live scoring and streaming video; and an improved fan experience at the track, ISOC has had a two pronged approach to their goals, put the racers first and improve the fan experience.

“It’s been a challenging environment but we’re on the right track,” said ISOC President John Daniels. “The racing is greatly improved, the venues are some of the best the sport has ever seen and the improved fan experience has really allowed us to build a greater level of connectivity between fans and racers.”

On Snow Magazine looks to build on that improved connectivity, by delivering a publication to ISOC members that will focus on the people, events and lifestyle of the sport of snowmobiling. The magazine will also feature guest columns from some of today’s top athletes including Tucker Hibbert, Levi LaVallee and Paul Thacker. In return, OSM will gain additional, high value distribution for the publication and its marketing partners.

“This is really a great fit for both of us,” said Pat Bourgeois, Editorial Director for OSM. “ISOC is the premiere race association in North America and a media partnership with them brings tremendous value to our publication. Plus, ISOC fans will receive a publication that is really first class. We’ll be covering racing, but we want to give fans more than who won or who lost. We want to capture the atmosphere of the event, from a race to a charity ride to vintage show.”

For the 2010-2011 season, ISOC and the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series will feature an eight race series with stops in the Midwest, Northeast, and West. The national tour kicks off with the legendary AMSOIL Duluth National in Duluth, Minnesota, November 26-28, 2010.
