As an avid snowmobiler whose life is immensely enhance by all that is snowmobiling, let yourself imagine the feeling of this mental picture. Snow in overabundance on the ground and gently falling from the sky. You walk into the center of a large open area, which in the summertime is part of the West Yellowstone Airport. The perimeter of this restricted access area is bordered by the compounds of each of snowmobiling’s four manufacturers. Each outfitted with brightly advertised, tractor trailers, mobile meeting rooms, maintenance trailers and tents. In front of each of these compounds are rows of meticulously organized, symmetrically parked sleds of the coming model year all covered with matching covers of manufacturer correct color.
The excitement and anticipation of what lies under fills your head with anticipations of the days ahead. Beyond all of this are the magnificent mountains of Montana and beyond. You slowly turn 360 degrees to take it all in. With deep breaths of crisp fresh air, you feel the hair on the back of your neck tingle as a grin comes over your face. You are at Snow Shoot 2013 and the information and experience is about to begin. For the 2nd year, it is my great pleasure to have been invited to attend Snow Shoot.
