L’Auberge de la vieille Gare – A must stop !

Each year, SledMagazine.com organizes a snowmobile tour for our team members over a long week-end. I had the chance to be part of it and to represent the Eastern Townships.  This gathering called «The Touring Convention» allows us to explore new regions and places.

This year, I personally discovered a region I did not know before, the Lac Nominingue in the Hautes Laurentides.  It is a snowmobile paradise with large and well-groomed trails.  We met welcoming people and we enjoyed good food and lodging.

Indeed, my colleagues and I discovered real treasures and each of us will talk about his favorite in his own article.  Mine is the Auberge de la Vieille Gare located in Nominingue.  We can reach it directly from the snowmobile trail and parking is available for vehicles and trailers.  The Auberge offers everything we expect : cozy rooms, delicious meals, warm welcome and an excellent quality/price ratio.  I strongly recommend it to you.

Mario has been a snowmobile enthusiast since the early 1970s. While riding on the fields of the family farm with his parents' Skiroule, Mario fell in love with this winter hobby and this passion has never disappeared. In the mid 1980's, he bought his first snowmobile, a 1976 Arctic Cat Panther. Since then, Mario has had many brands and models of snowmobiles, always looking for the perfect one for him. In 2009, he became a contributor for the web magazine Motoneiges.ca and met a team of enthusiasts like him. Mario likes to write about the trips he takes, the clothes and accessories he wears and of course the snowmobiles he tries in order to inform the readers of the magazine. If you meet him on the trail or in a relay, come and talk to him, it will be a pleasure for him to talk about snowmobiles.
