After a lukewarm start to the season in December, Hayden came, saw and conquered, taking no prisoners and basically putting on a clinic. It was also the first time in over a year that the Espanola, ON native arrived at an event feeling 100% fit and healthy. His results at Wexford County Fairgrounds are proof positive that the former Canadian champ remains a force to be reckoned with in the snocross wars.
Hayden blasted from the start line to holeshot all three heats and lead wire-to-wire in all except one. He experienced a minor get-off while leading the heat but recovered to claim fourth at the checkered flag. When the field took off for the final, Hayden again rocketed into the first turn to take the holeshot and never looked back.
“It was kind of nice to kick off the New Year with a win. If you want to talk about a great weekend, this was it. The track was good. The racing was furious and tight and I felt great all weekend. And making my life easy out there was our FX Nytro® which performed flawlessly. My hat goes off to the team. They did a fantastic job to put me out front,” said Hayden.
