And it’s a wrap! Eganville’s Bonnechere Cup was like usual a great success. For the first weekend of the EPT calendar, we had cold weather and on the Sunday a radiant sun shining from morning to the last final.

For our first day we only had 2 sleds in the Factory 600 and it is Rob Sheppard who got his first win of the season on his newly purchased skidoo. In Pro Formula 500, Mike Van Dolder took care of showing the others the way to go. Jocelyn Lesieur, #33 and Paul Sheppard, #330 respectively got 2nd and 3rd place.
For the Outlaw 600, it was simply a pure domination for veteran driver Tim Hibbard who was never threatened by anyone on the first final of his class in Eganville’s history. Our Pro Champ final was a real piece of cake for Minnesota driver Dustin Wahl whose snow dust was the only reachable thing for the World Champion, Nick Van Strydonk, who was himself way out of reach for 3rd position Travis Macdonald.

Sunday was a busy day with a few accidents and the coldest day of the season so far. Factory 600 saw an extra driver at the starting line with Serge Ouellet joining the competition. The lead still went to Sheppard which gives a perfect weekend to #330 in Factory 600. Tim Hibbard kept on the domination followed closely by #99, Ian Hodgson from Pembroke, Ontario. In Pro Formula 500, Mike Van Dolder got on the highest step of the podium with a great performance. Cole McMichael, 17 years old, got a well-deserved 2nd place followed by #83 Dave Baldwin.

Our last final of the weekend was in Pro Champ where drivers had to complete 10 laps before making a pit stop for five minutes to complete the race with 12 more laps. The 2012 World Champion, Nick Van Strydonk showed everyone he could adapt winning this edition of the Bonnechere cup. Dustin Wahl was on his heels keeping a close gap with the winner the whole race. The last position of our top three goes to #96 Jacques Villeneuve who had a fairly good weekend.

To complete our resume, we had like usual our CF moto side by side competition which was a total success and for the first time of the season, our Combo class was won by a Factory 600 sled. Champ…Beware!
