Cain’s Quest Snowmobile Endurance Race is announcing a new deadline for the registration for the Women’s Edition Race set to start March 12, 2011.
Organizers have set the deadline for December 15, 2010. Cain’s Quest must have at least 12 teams signed up in order for the race to proceed. The Women’s Edition is a 650km race from Labrador City to Churchill Falls and back again. The Women’s Event will follow the same format as the Main Event, however, the ladies teams are able to receive assistance from anyone to work on their sleds in case of mechanical trouble. Women will travel in teams of two, day and night guided by GPS. They will face the same weather conditions and riding conditions as the Main Event and will test their capabilities to handle such an enormous challenge.
Organizers are hopeful that women will step up and register for this event and take advantage of this opportunity to represent themselves as the hardcore snowmobilers that they are. The Prize Purse for the Ladies Edition is $20,000.
