BRP U.S. Inc. is recalling about 430 Ski-Doo snowmobiles.

Friction between the fuel hose and the cylinder head cover can cause the hose to pierce. This can cause fuel to leak out, posing a fire hazard.

The firm has received two reports of fuel leakage and five additional reports of hose wear. No injuries or property damage have been reported.

Description: The recall involves the following Ski-Doo Models:

Model Color
2007 and 2008 Expedition TUV V800 Deep Red/Black
2007 and 2008 Skandic SWT V-800 Yellow/Black

The model names are located on the side panel.

Note: The 2007 and 2008 Skandic SWT V-800 Snowmobiles were  previously recalled due to explosion hazard.

Ski-Doo dealers nationwide sold the snowmobiles from March 2006 through May 2008 for about $10,000. They were made in Finland.

Consumers should stop using these vehicles immediately and contact any Ski-Doo dealer to schedule a free repair. Consumers with recalled snowmobiles are being sent a direct notice from BRP.

For more information, contact BRP toll-free at (888) 638-5397 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or visit the firm’s Web site at www.ski-doo.com

The recall is being conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
