Base Layer
These are the most important clothes because they must keep us dry by removing moisture. It is made of synthetic fabrics and fibers designed to remove moisture and keep us dry for as long as possible. These clothes are flexible and stretch to mold our bodies. They are made of antimicrobial fabric. The basic clothing comes in two parts, the upper body which is like a sweater and the bottom which is like pants.
The test was made at different temperature, during snowmobile rides, off-road rides, and other activities. It sticks to our skin and we feel the heat quickly without being uncomfortable. When I went inside, I never felt too much heat. When I was sweating, it dried really quickly. It's quite impressive to see its effectiveness.
The base layers are very compressible, they do not take too much space in your luggage.
If you are not used to wear a base layer, you may feel uncomfortable the first time you put them on, but it is temporary. Pretty soon, you'll forget that you have it on and see how effective it is.
Neck Warmer
In snowmobiling, the cold often manages to penetrate in our necks and makes us cold. This neck protector is an effective solution to this problem. It is made of merino wool and is wind resistant.
When I first took the neck warmer, I was really skeptical. It looks like an elongated neck, it is very thin.
I was very wrong about it. On me, it folds up and keeps your neck sealed. You can feel the heat trapped in the neck. It is so effective that I use it for all my outdoor activities.
Even at freezing temperatures and with strong winds, the cold did not get to my neck. I recommend it without hesitation.
Balaclava
The hood has a Thermaplush lining that is comfortable, gentle on the skin and wind resistant. The hood mold well the head and face, no air infiltration, it is comfortable to wear and protects well from the cold. The neck length is minimal so I suggest to wear it with the neck protector.
