Amsoil joins Woody’s as Presenting Sponsor at East Coast Snocross

It’s a well known fact that any snowmobile engine needs the proper lubricant to survive. From the reliable two-cycle engines that were so instrumental in the sport’s development, to the high-tech four-cycle powerplants of today.
Among the makers of oil available on the market today, one stands out above the rest. Amsoil is known simply as "The First in Synthetics," and for good reason. Known for their title sponsorship of the International Series of Champions (ISOC) national series, Amsoil also supports racing at the regional level.

It is with great pleasure that officials at East Coast Snocross (ECS) announce that Amsoil has joined Woody’s Traction & Control as a presenting sponsor for their inaugural 2010-2011 season. Recognized as an industry leader in injection oil and lubricants, Amsoil’s support adds tremendous credibility to ECS.

"All of us at ECS are honored to have a world-class company like Amsoil on board," said Shawn Longbook, general manager at East Coast Snocross. "Nobody supports more types of racing than Amsoil, from snowmobiles to stock cars and everything in between. Jeremy Meyer and his staff put a great deal of effort into supporting snocross, and we’re thrilled to have them involved here in the northeast. Our race teams love their oils, and trail riders should, too."

Amsoil was founded by Albert J. Amatuzio, a brilliant man who served as a fighter pilot for 25 years. After an intense period of research that began in 1963, Amatuzio started selling his newly-formulated synthetic oil commercially in 1966. In 1972, Amsoil became the first synthetic motor oil in the world to meet American Petroleum Institute (API) service requirements.
With its rich history of quality and innovation, Amsoil formulates a wide selection of synthetic lubricating oils for all types of engine and gear applications. In addition, Amsoil has developed sophisticated fuel additives, filtration systems and other companion products that supplement and extend lubricant performance.

In the world of snowmobile racing, Amsoil is second-to-none. Their two-cycle oil, including the Interceptor and Dominator lines, are the best money can buy. Interceptor contains high levels of detergent additives to prevent valve sticking. Dominator was created with a focus on high-horsepower and modified racing and trail engines. It contains higher viscosity base oils for best overall protection and additives forhigher operating temperatures.

East Coast Snocross is now less than one month away from hitting the snow. Picking up where the former circuit (RMR) left off, ECS officials have set goals for enhancing the sport of snocross.

Fewer classes to shorten the program, the addition of the Rave-X Outer Limits Freestyle show to select events and a focus on increasing spectator numbers are all vital ingredients in the ECS recipe for success. New sponsors have signed on, three snowmobile manufacturers have hooked up with talented riders and fans are starting to make plans to attend. All combine to give reason for excitement as the inaugural season draws near.         For more information, go to www.eastcoastsnocross.com.
