Rovaniemi, Finland – October 31, 2026 – Continuing its relentless pursuit of racing success, Lynx introduces the new 2027 Rave RS 600RS E-TEC, a snocross racing snowmobile that takes a major step forward with significant technical improvements, including redesigned front suspension geometry.
Extensive late-season testing demonstrated improved lap times and greater stability throughout the racecourse.
The result? A more predictable, confidence-inspiring snowmobile that allows racers to push harder, tackle obstacles with greater precision, and maintain speed in some of the most demanding snocross conditions.
New Front Suspension for Greater Precision
One of the most significant improvements to the 2027 Lynx Rave RS 600RS E-TEC is its updated LFS Racing front suspension, featuring substantially revised geometry.
The spindle has been moved 38 mm forward, allowing engineers to use softer front springs without compromising load-bearing capacity.
This modification reduces the tendency of the outside ski suspension to dive during cornering, a change that translated directly into faster lap times during spring track testing.
The longer wheelbase also improves longitudinal stability, particularly on rough straightaways. This makes the snowmobile more stable and predictable, even as track conditions deteriorate.
The redesigned A-arms are also stronger than those used on the previous generation.
Another notable improvement is the 22 mm increase in vertical front suspension travel, providing greater capacity to absorb impacts.
Finally, shock absorber settings have been recalibrated to take full advantage of the updated suspension geometry.

rCTRL Rear Suspension: Refined Geometry
The rCTRL rear suspension also receives significant structural improvements for 2027.
Lynx engineers have refined its geometry to reduce coupling between the front and rear suspension arms. This modification allows each arm to operate more independently, improving overall suspension response.
The rear shock mounting bracket has been raised, while the shock absorber itself has been slightly shortened.
These changes are intended to reduce stress on components and improve overall reliability, a particularly important consideration in the demanding world of snocross racing.
Rear suspension travel has also increased by 10 mm.
New shock calibrations for both the center and rear arms complete the update, providing improved performance on rough and challenging racecourses.

Rotax 600RS E-TEC Engine: More Power and Sharper Response
The improvements to the 2027 Rave RS extend well beyond its suspension systems.
The Rotax 600RS E-TEC engine receives new cylinders with optimized flow characteristics.
Combined with updated engine calibration, these changes deliver:
- Increased peak horsepower.
- A broader powerband.
- Sharper throttle response.
The goal is to make the engine’s power more usable on the racetrack, particularly when accelerating out of corners and tackling consecutive obstacles.
Optimized Drivetrain
The drivetrain has also been revised to better match the engine’s updated power curve.
The entire powertrain has been fine-tuned to provide more efficient and consistent power delivery.
Inside the chaincase, the slip gear now features 56 teeth, allowing for a longer chain.
This modification is designed to extend chain service life while providing racers with a wider range of gearing options to fine-tune their snowmobile setups for different racing conditions.
Redesigned Air Intake for Consistent Performance
Lynx has also redesigned the engine’s air intake system.
The air intake is now positioned at the top of the hood, a location intended to provide more consistent airflow under varying riding conditions.
This updated configuration helps maintain more stable engine power delivery.
It also helps the snowmobile comply with the strict noise limits imposed by the FIM Snocross World Championship.
In a racing discipline where conditions can change rapidly, consistent power delivery represents a significant advantage for competitors.
Braking and Cooling: Race-Focused Improvements
Lynx engineers have also introduced several targeted improvements to the braking system.
The brake caliper has been repositioned to make brake pad replacement easier, a change specifically requested by racers.
Brake lines and rotor guards have also been updated.
The 2027 Rave RS retains a four-piston Brembo Racing braking system, designed to meet the demanding requirements of competition.
Reduced Weight and Optimized Cooling
New aluminum toeholds reduce the snowmobile’s overall weight by approximately 800 grams.
The cooling system has also been updated. The previously used profile-type radiator has been replaced with a plate-type radiator.
According to Lynx, this change standardizes the cooling system without compromising cooling performance.
